Pamela S. Skarda to Lead SB NOW As New Executive Director
After a nearly three-month search, the SB NOW Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of Pamela S. Skarda as the organization’s new leader. Pamela brings 20 years of Washington, D.C.-based work experience in non-profit management, development, marketing, public affairs, and government/media relations. For the past five years, she has been President & CEO of a consulting firm specializing in public relations, marketing promotions, and Federal lobbying. Her interest in the nexus of sustainability and business began as a consultant helping to launch a successful “Green” coffee company into wholesale membership clubs. Subsequently, she has provided strategic marketing and sales direction to numerous eco-friendly companies.
Pamela earned a double Bachelors of Arts with High Academic Distinction at the University of Kansas and pursued graduate-level studies in Government Relations at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. A native of Omaha, Nebraska, she has resided in the National Capital Area for two decades and currently makes her home in Maryland.
